Electric bluewater catamaran from the first owner. Moorings are available in Las Palmas, Barcelona, Mallorca, and Athens. Enjoy the freedom, independence and safety of knowing you can sail anywhere and be energy self-sufficient. This Fountaine Pajot has been turned into the perfect live-aboard yacht. It’s ready for relaxed coastal cruising or crossing oceans. (See video!)
The owner fulfilled a dream, turning this yacht into a proper home on the water during a sabbatical. The vessel features high-quality custom fittings and comes with an entire maintenance history. The vessel has been professionally maintained and optimised by an experienced owner who will happily share his experience and ensure a smooth and helpful handover. If you, too, are planning a sabbatical, you can benefit from the knowledge that has gone into this yacht's custom configuration and optimisation for worldwide cruising. As anyone who has done so knows, this beats the inevitable costly and time-consuming troubleshooting of buying a new yacht.

Berthing Availability – Secure berths available in key cruising destinations.
An Escape in Uncertain Times – More and more people are seeking self-sufficiency and the ability to move freely in a growing uncertain world. This yacht offers precisely that.

Mechanical and Rigging
The standout feature of this Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 is its electric propulsion system and its energy self-sufficiency.
Electric Motors • Equipped by the shipyard with 2x Oceanvolt SD-15 motors. • Powered by a 3000-watt solar system (accurate peak output) and hydro-regeneration while sailing. • Backup power by Fischer Panda 21 kW diesel generator in case of extended cloud cover. • Central energy storage: A 48-volt DC battery bank with a capacity of 25 kWh (12 x LiFePO4 Super B batteries, ca 850 charge cycles out of a lifespan of 8,000–10,000).
ENERGY AUTONOMY: Two Victron MPPT solar chargers charge the batteries. While sailing, they are also charged via hydrogenation from Oceanvolt motors. They can be charged via the generator and, of course, by shore power via a powerful Victron Quattro 8 kW charger/inverter. The solar system generates 8 to 12 kWh per day on average, fully meeting energy needs. The electric motors propel the catamaran to a maximum speed of 7.3 knots and a cruising speed of 5. Unlike diesel engines, electric motors are low-maintenance, whisper-quiet and allow precise manoeuvring at low speeds.
Cruising speed under engine: 5 knots
Maximum speed under engine: 7,3 kt
